Covid Notice: I am currently providing therapy on Zoom and in person

Fees, Insurance, Appointment Information

Fees

The standard fee for therapy sessions is $200.00. Payment is due at the time of your appointment. Checks, cash and credit cards are accepted.

Insurance

At present along with many other qualified mental health professionals, I have elected to not participate in insurance panels. I have found that this protects your privacy and inhibits outside interference with respect to the process of your therapy. It also eliminates issuing a formal diagnosis and providing ongoing clinical notes which would become part of your permanent medical record.

If your insurance company covers out of network therapy and you desire to seek reimbursement, I will be happy to provide you with a monthly statement of services.

Appointment Time Structure

Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long. Initial hypnotherapy sessions will generally be 80 minutes. Occasionally, in times of crisis and in the early stages of couples work, it may be therapeutically beneficial to arrange longer sessions or more than one session per week. If this is the case, we will work together to create the best structure to support you.

Lateness and Cancellations

I heartily recommend that you plan to arrive on time or even better, a few minutes early. I have a pleasant waiting area available and by arriving a few minutes early, you give yourself time to park, get present and organize your thoughts before we begin.

If you will be late:

Please let me know as soon as possible by phone, text or e-mail

I completely understand that life happens. I have reserved this time for you and you are welcome even if you are late. Couple’s should know that I do not begin sessions until both of you are present.

Keep in mind that I prepare for each client so it is unlikely that I could extend the appointment end time beyond what has been scheduled for you. I do not pro-rate or offer a reduced fee if you are late.

If you need to cancel:

Please let me know as soon as possible but not later than 48 hours prior, by phone, text or e-mail

48 hour advance notice is required to cancel your appointment without charge. You will be charged the full amount of the session if no notice is given or you don’t come to a scheduled session. With notice and when possible, I will attempt to reschedule your appointment in the same week if you wish. For vacations and short absences, your appointment time will be held for you. For breaks in therapy or longer term absences, we will need to reschedule your appointment time when you resume therapy. Unfortunately your original time cannot be assured.

Notice to clients and prospective clients as required by law;

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.  You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.  For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
